From meager beginnings in 1970 as a one-day event with only around 100 attendees, Comic-Con has grown exponentially over the past 50 years to become a household name. What started in San Diego, California as a small gathering for comic book fans has grown to include Sci-Fi fanatics and gamers around the globe. This four-day exhibition of comic books, movies, television shows, and even costumed fans now regularly hosts more than 100,000 attendees world-wide. Actors, actresses, creators, directors, and more come together to meet their fans, take photos, sign autographs, and answer questions for their biggest supporters: The Fans! Next year (2022), this incredible exposition comes to Mifflin County at the Mifflin County High School!

Due to popular demand, one of the many panels hosted next year will be another reunion of the cast from Firefly and Serenity. This renegade crew including Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Morena Baccarin, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, and more will once again reunite to meet their fans, address their questions, and make some new memories. Creator Joss Whedon will also be on the panel. Is there a possible sequel to Serenity in the works? Whedon will let us know next year on the panel!

Also at Mifflin County’s 2022 Comic-Con will be the ever-popular Walking Dead panel! This panel is scheduled to include Chandler Riggs, Norman Reedus, Jeffery Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohen, Danai Gurira, creator Frank Darabont, and director Greg Nicotero. Will you have a chance to be an extra next season? Come to Comic-Con to find out!

The 2022 Mifflin County Comic-Con will be smaller than past conventions due to safety concerns related to the Covid-19 pandemic, so admission will be limited! Be sure to pre-order your tickets soon! We’ll see you there!
